They started to appear one early morning in the soft light, that special look of spring.  As I touched the clay I thought it was a heart, then I saw that it was two heads.  I pulled the clay away as the sun rose higher, coming in bold streams through the skylight of my studio.  There was no changing them.  They were so close, secure in each other.
