I walked by my sculpting stand late one afternoon and glanced at the beginnings of a piece of clay and smiled. I saw the most adorable little hands reaching up — playfully towards the mother's face — I remember walking with my mom so young in the fields of my grandfather's ranch in Colorado. — I pulled off more of the clay and there they were - the smell of the sage, the sparkle of the aspen trees.
